About Ritten

Ritten is building the modern operating system for behavioral health facilities. We've expanded from core clinical software into a full platform that powers every workflow in a clinic — from scheduling andpatient treatment to billing and revenue operations. Our software already supports hundreds of facilitiesnationwide and is scaling quickly as we bring modern engineering to a part of healthcare that hashistorically been underserved.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to own the reliability, infrastructure, and developer experience that Ritten's platform runs on. You'll work at the intersection of backend systems and cloudinfrastructure — building platform primitives that make feature development safer and faster, maturingour observability and alerting posture, and partnering closely with product engineers as our customer basegrows.

What You'll Do

  • Build and scale backend systems across Golang, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud.
  • Own and evolve our infrastructure-as-code footprint — cloud resource management, environmentprovisioning, and deployment pipelines.
  • Solve performance bottlenecks in a complex, data-heavy healthcare environment (low-latencyAPIs, background job orchestration, indexing strategies).
  • Drive observability and alerting maturity — including SLO adoption, on-call tooling, andbuilding toward proactive outage detection across GCP.
  • Establish and improve platform-level patterns (auth, caching, CI/CD, deployment strategies) thatthe broader engineering team builds on.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and the CTO on technical direction.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years building backend systems and/or cloud infrastructure, ideally in high-growth SaaS.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code and cloud resource management (GCPpreferred).
  • Depth in at least one of: Golang, PostgreSQL, or GCP infrastructure.
  • Comfortable operating across both application and infrastructure layers.
  • Pragmatic problem-solver with strong communication skills.

Why Join Us?

  • Impact: Your work shapes the technical foundation of a platform used daily in clinics that treataddiction and mental health.
  • Scope: Small team, huge mandate — you'll directly influence infrastructure, reliability, andplatform culture.
  • Trajectory: Series B company with strong runway, serving hundreds of facilities nationwide andgrowing fast.
  • Innovation: We're actively integrating AI across our platform — including observability toolingand clinician-facing features. You'll help shape how AI is responsibly adopted in aHIPAA-regulated environment, not just watch it happen from the sidelines.
  • Team: Collaborative engineers who care about craft, not ego.

Compensation

We offer competitive compensation packages, including strong cash salaries benchmarked against topstartups at our stage, along with comprehensive healthcare benefits.
